Arian Systems Inc. / Techconsultant.ca is seeking a Drilling Engineer / Specialist I for our major Oil and Gas client.

Role Summary:
Plan, design, and supervise drilling and completion operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance.

Key Duties:

• Well Design & Planning: Develop well plans using geological data and offset well research.

• Engineering Integrity: Design wells to meet all regulatory and safety standards.

• Cost Management: Prepare accurate cost estimates for well design options.

• Procurement: Handle equipment selection and technical bid analysis.

• Operations Support: Provide daily engineering surveillance and troubleshooting at the rig site.

• Collaboration: Work with Geology, Reservoir, and Projects teams to align on objectives.

• Deep Water: (As required) Apply knowledge of subsea systems and riser analysis.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• B.S. in Engineering or related field.

• Hands-on experience with well planning and execution.

• Skill with well design software (e.g., Landmark, etc.).

• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience in deep water drilling operations.
